Like many other colon cleansers, Cologenix is marketed as a means of weight loss as it helps the body eliminate pounds of built up waste. Cologenix even goes so far as to promise the loss of several pounds within only a few days, although the website offers no clinical studies to back this up. In addition to losing weight, cleansing the colon may also be able to cure bad breath, rid the system of toxins, and aid in combating constipation and bloating.
Very little information appears on the Cologenix website, although there is a very short history of colon cleansing (which is really a practice with a very long history) and a brief FAQ section.
The company offers a fifteen day free trial, but it is contingent upon enrollment in an auto-shipping program. Sometimes it is difficult to cancel these programs and the customer receives product (and bills) each month. As of the writing of this review, though, no complaints of this nature have been filed for Cologenix.

The web site says that Cologenix causes no known side effects, but clearly, the exact ingredients being unknown may present a problem to anybody having food allergies or sensitivities.
